Whereas the movement of technology and capital has become increasingly more open, the movement of people across countries has not enjoyed such freedom. Capitalism's expansion across the globe has depended on a massive influx of millions of men and women into the workforce.


Re-strengthening global sisterhood - Emerging women’s issues for a new global agenda

After meetings in Boston and Paris, this year it is the third time that experts from Europe and North-America meet for the promotion of equal rights for women and men. This event is run with the support of the Fondation Jean Jaurès and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.

These meetings have provided a unique opportunity for discussion amongst European and North-American experts, and facilitated the development of new initiatives for promoting gender equality, useful both for academics and policy-makers.
